Last month, I have had the pleasure of meeting Joseph of the Deaf In the City (DITC) blog, here in South Florida, and had an impromptu, superfical, and ad hoc interview with him. After editing the video clips, I have come up with two parts of the interview;
DITC Interview, Part I (05:22 - Captioned)
SAMI Captions - ASX Startup File
DITC Interview, Part II (05:53 - Captioned)
SAMI Captions - ASX Startup File
If you want to view the video offline, just download the WMV video(s) from Google Video. If you need the captions under Windows Media Player for offline viewing, download the respective SAMI and ASX files, make sure they are all in the same directory, and double click the ASX file. (Some troubleshooting with the Windows Media Player may be needed in order to display captions.)

He was the first to blog? what? Wow...ok, what a huge assumption.
Hee - I was nervous as hell during the interview and take the fifth. But - I said I was one of the first Deaf bloggers - not that I was the first to blog.
Well, I wasn't sure myself, either! Initially, my impression was that Joseph was one of the first Deaf bloggers, but after looking at the video, he didn't 'sign' to that effect, so I wasn't sure when I captioned the video.
As I found out recently, captioning ASL videos is certainly a challenge, especially when someone else is doing the signing!
Thanks for sharing. Joseph, ya know ya a good writer. I like your last vlog you made.
Yes Todd, captioning is time consuming. It took me more than hour or two to add captioning text to a four minutes video. There are readers out there that do appreciate this option.
Your next vlog when? :) I added your site as a deaf vlog link.

I enjoyed this, good to get to know Joseph a bit more :-) -- thanks for the interview, Todd :-)
Thanks for the interview! I didn't know it existed until you got picked up by Deafread. Wish there are more video interviews of other bloggers.
